How to use the Camp Wander Cold and Flu Salves and more during Flu Season

How to use the Camp Wander
Cold and Flu Salves.

I have been pushing the Cold and Flu Salves for a while now. I can't stress enough how important it is to be prepared and ready when you have someone sick in your home. There are so many scary viruses out there right now and being prepared is the key. If you wait until someone gets sick to order the kit it will be to late. These oils may be helpful with helping ease the symptoms.

If you have ordered the Cold and Flu Salves or Essential Oils or are thinking of ordering it this post is here for you to know how to use it when it arrives.

The Cold and Flu Salves will arrive with four oils or salves depending on what you order that contains, Oregano (Nature's strongest anti-biotic) , Melaleuca (Proven to fight bacteria, virus and fungi) and Lavender Thieves (Support healthy immune function and Lemon.

I always have this ready for family especially right now with all these viruses out there.

For children the Salves and ready to use and properly diluted.

Open a jar, scoop out an eighth of a teaspoon with your fingertip. Smooth on the bottoms of each foot.  Layer and repeat with each Salve.

Adults can also take 3 drops of each oil in a gel or vegetable capsule every 3 hours when symptoms first occur. This is a more aggressive way to attack it and I suggest taking with some bread. You can also take 3 drops of each in a shot glass of water stirred up or applied on the bottom of the feet.

DIFFUSE DIFFUSE!

Zaq has a line of diffusers like no others out there. The Zaq Diffuser line is the best I have come across. The Zaq Mirage can run up to at least 8 hours, mine has done 12 before running out of water.  This is wonderful when you want to run it all night long in your child's room while they are sick.

We use this same diffuser in our home everyday with Lavender Thieves. Lavender Thieves is a wonderful blend of essential oils that may be helpful in killing airborne pathogens. We run this in the daytime and if needed at night but if there are respiratory issues we use Airway which may be helpful in opening up the breathing airways and coughs.

Stomach Aches

Digest Ease is a wonderful Salve that you will want to have on hand when those stomach aches hit especially in the middle of the night.

A super digestive that we love to use topically on bellies and directly in navel for upset stomach, nausea, bloating and stomach cramps.

Here is my must have list that made that includes everything that I feel you will be prepared with when starting out with Essential Oils especially when going into the winter season.

Be diligent in washing your hands and cleaning counter tops and door handles.

If your child is anxious when they are sick and signs of anxiety show use Jeddy's Blend to help calm them and relax. Rub some on the bottom of the feet, on the back of the neck. This really does help with anxiety.

I hope this helps in trying to figure out how to use the oils in the time of need when someone is sick. You will be glad that you were prepared.

Cilantro Lime Chicken over Sticky Rice

Cilantro Lime Chicken over Sticky Rice

I know I know it has been forever since I did a post. Life with three kids in 4th, 5th and 6th grade, chickens, dogs and cats has made blogging a real challenge. When did they grow up so fast? Homework and extra curricular activities have made blogging a challenge. I love it to much not to do it though, so here I am sharing my love for cooking with you.

Lemon Lavender and Peppermint - LLP A Natural Antihistamine

Lemon Lavender and Peppermint - All in One Allergy Blend

If you were to ask me what the best oils to start out with when you were just starting to use Essential Oils were, I would tell you Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint every time. Not only are these oils amazing by themselves but blended together make something special.

Amazing Chicken Tortilla Soup

Amazing Chicken Tortilla Soup

This might just be my favorite soup of all time. My sister in law Ava makes the most amazing food and while I was over she made me a bowl of this soup or a soup very close to this. I tried to remember the recipe as well as I could off of memory so I hope she approves.

Mexican Taco's with Fresh Pico De Gallo

Mexican Taco's with fresh
 Pico De Gallo

I made a HUGE batch of these yesterday for the Super Bowl. They are always a big hit and taste so GOOD! We had a great day with family even though our team didn't win. I LOVED the half time show.

I really enjoy entertaining and cooking for lots of people. My girls even made their first batch of Cupcakes without my help, they insisted they could do it. They did it! Quite the mess but tasted great. Future bakers in the making. (Those are foot balls just so you know.
