Steamed Shrimp and Broccoli over Rice
with a GIVEAWAY!
I have been craving Shrimp all week. I made it last weekend and have been craving it ever since. I wanted something healthier because I have been battling this flu bug all week and I am ready to get over it! So I was looking for something healthy with Shrimp.
My dear sister Jillee gave me an Amazon gift card for Christmas and one of the things that I ordered was an Aroma Rice Cooker. When it came in the mail I realized that it was also a Food Steamer! It has been sitting in the box since I got it and I thought this would be a perfect time to try it.
I love this thing!
I cooked two cups of rice, steamed Shrimp and Broccoli and it was awesome. The taste and texture were so much better and it just melts in your mouth. Food tastes amazing steamed. What a difference and it can't get much easier than throwing everything in and pushing a button.
Ingredients
Shrimp (You can use frozen, fresh, uncooked or cooked)

Frozen or fresh broccoli
Rice
Directions

They have a website with all kinds of meals that you can make in this like soups, oatmeal, Green Chile Chicken and Rice and so much more.
- Perfectly prepares 2 to 6 cups of cooked rice and automatically keeps it warm for hours
- Steams vegetables and meat - even while simultaneously cooking rice
- Simple, one-touch operation switches to keep-warm mode automatically when finished
- Nonstick inner cooking pot and all accessories are dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup
- Full-view tempered glass lid
- Accessories include serving spatula, measuring cup and steam tray

Hi Dori!
ReplyDeleteBecause my Fiancee and I are the only ones that I cook for, I'd love to see more two or three part meals. Its really hard to portion some things out, especially when we're talking about cooking a whole roast or bird. I'm interested in the day two side of things where my leftovers can be transformed into something else.
You're the best!
Liz
